A little Bit Too Late To Get In

The morning was a day entertained by Jeremy Kyle on Irish TV. It's like the Maury Popovich show. The trash of the trash kind of folks being hooked up on lie detectors and DNA testing for cheating and what not. Big folks with missing teeth. Unlike Maury, Jeremy gets in their faces and he'll tell them just how bad they are. After bad TV, we make our way to the longest most crucial day.

We make our way through the Tower of London and grasped its history. I was most interested in the torture and incarceration of the nobles. Must be my sick and sometimes morbid curiosity. After all that, we walked towards the Tower Bridge Exhibit and walked up nearly hundreds of stairs just to get to the top. We saw videos on how the bridge was designed, built, and where the parts were brought from. Then there was a recognition of famous bridges around the world. Our Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco made the list. Yay!

So on our way down down the steps, I did it again. I had to use the toilet and walked into the nearest W.C. without checking it. It was the men's restroom. Dang. Anyways, we found the right one and while I was in there, Cyn had met a new friend named Boston. well, he told us his name, but we forgot so we nicknamed him after his hometown. After going through the none exciting engine room, We walked towards the H.M. Belfast. A ship that was used during WWII. We finished our trip quickly due to the beginning of our exhaustion and the long tours of children.

We made our way along the Thames River towards the London Bridge Experience and Tombs. It's an attraction tour of London's 2000 years of gruesome history along with a maze of strobe lights and zombies. Cheesy but fun! I think I screamed more here than at Knott's Scary Farm.

After surviving on breakfast and ice scream and candy, our appetite took us to the Old Thameside Inn, where I indulged in their acclaimed fish and chips and cider. They still don't compare to the ones I enjoy greatly at Ruby's Diner. Anyhow, we walked through the Southwark boroughs, saw the Church and an original wall from Winchester Palace. We found the Shakespeare Globe Theatre but couldn't get in because they had already closed. Oh how my senior English teacher, Mrs. Grable, would have been proud! It was through her that I developed a love towards Oscar Wilde.

We continued our walk through Southwark Bridge and directly towards St. Paul's Cathedral. One of the most beautiful churches my eyes have encountered, next to Sacre Coure in Paris. And how majestic! Due to our timing, we weren't able to go in. But we will definitely try to make it back again on Saturday. Our end of the itinerary ended for that day and we hopped on the Tub back to our room where we took a nap. Our calves and feet were hurting us.

ended our night with Dinner at Chop Chop Chinese Restaurant (named changed to Chin Chin by Cyn). were the presentation to the eye and the taste to our palate was very unsatisfactory. Back to our room with a Grolsch Beer and Watching of Shameless, was how we ended our night. Tomorrow, Au revoir Londres. Salut Paris!
